Canada, the second largest country in the world after Russia, deserves its reputation for magnificent scenery, cleanliness, plentiful wildlife, peace, diversity and vast spaces.
Canada’s climate may not be as consistently cold as commonly perceived. During winter, temperatures drop below freezing across much of the country, but the southwestern coast experiences relatively mild conditions. In the Arctic Circle region, temperatures remain below freezing for seven months annually. Canada comprises 10 provinces and 3 territories in the north.The only country Canada has land borders with is the United States to the south (6379km long) and the US.
Employment options
Off campus work
Full time students registered in a degree or diploma granting course are allowed to work on the campus of the institution at which they are registered without the need for an employment authorization
On campus work
The Off Campus Work Permit Program allows foreign students at some publicly funded post secondary educational institutions in Canada to work off campus while completing their studies
Practical training
In addition, there may be opportunities for practical training which entail a period of authorized employment, designed to allow foreign students to have professional work experience related to their field of study. International students who have graduated from a Canadian university or college have the opportunity to work in Canada after they receive their degree or diploma. International students can work on campus with a work permit.
