A kitten named Woof: he was looking for trouble, but he found friends

Not everyone of us can boast of the talent that this charming animated kitten, created by one of the most famous children's writers, Grigory Oster, has.
As a rule, characters go in search of happiness, while undergoing obstacles and overcoming difficulties. In our case, the hero himself goes towards trouble, but loyal friends and his own positive attitude do not let him get into them. But it's not easy with such a name - Woof!
Every exit to the courtyard turns into an exciting adventure. Even the main threat to the whole yard is an old Dog, jealously guarding his bone, cannot harm a kitten. Because, firstly, he is not so formidable, and secondly, the black Cat, no less wise with experience and years, is always on the lookout.
The cartoon itself consists of five touching and instructive episodes, divided into issues, about true friendship, the care of adults for the little ones, as well as how important it is for every animal to have its own home and owner. Initially, the creators of the cartoon presented the main character as an ordinary red-haired mongrel kitten, but animator Leonid Shvartsman decided to "reward" his ward with a breed similar to the Siamese. It was Schwartzman who, in 1982, after the death of director Lev Atamonov, released the last, fifth series about how the kids found their owners. This series is dedicated to the memory of the late director.
It is noteworthy that the entire cycle spanned several years: from 1976 to 1982. However, the viewer does not see this temporary difference, so all the episodes are harmonious and look at the same breath.
And what is only one black Cat worth – an ambiguous character voiced by the inimitable Vasily Livanov! At first, he seems sinister and clearly plotting something: "You're in for nothing but trouble!" When Sharik asks Woof to guard his patty, the Cat makes a series of attempts to steal lunch. The kitten has no choice but to hide her in the "safest place." However, the Cat has its good points – it selflessly protects the kitten from the Dog, teaches the ward to be smart. He treats kids with condescension, helps out more than once, but at the same time gives a beating when he is called a "cat". But what can you do with them, with the "youth"!
The youth themselves, in the person of Woof and Sharik, are fearless and reckless. They're only afraid of thunderstorms, and that's because it's more interesting that way. They don't care about the old Cat's opinion that friendship between them is impossible: "It doesn't happen that way!" It happens, and even how! A sausage– and that one in half!
By the way, in 2013, a monument was erected in Novokuznetsk, which is called "The Middle of the sausage." On both sides of the sausage are Woof and a Ball, starting their lunch, each from its own end.
When eating this delicacy, both come to the conclusion that the sausage was not so big, but no one expresses regret that they divided it equally. Because friends!
Perhaps their behavior largely corresponds to the behavior of children – for example, they come up with their own secret language that no one knows, including themselves.
They are constantly finding something to do, whether it's playing with a ball, tag, or chasing their own shadow. And even a stern Dog is not a hindrance to them. This character is not that angry at all. He just belongs to the same category of animals of the "old school" as the Cat: "Woof…You're still teasing!" In general, the most important thing for him is a tasty bone, which the Cat is trying to steal. When a muzzle is put on a Dog, our bosom friends manage to take it off to "try it on." It turns out that two babies can fit in one muzzle!
These two characters are together from the first to the last episode, even after finding owners, they are happy to learn that they will live in the same stairwell. And a completely different story begins, which every young viewer can invent for himself. However, not only children will like the cartoon, but adults will also enjoy remembering their favorite childhood characters and their catchphrases.: "Let's be afraid together!", "I hid her… I hid her very well!", "They're waiting for me, these troubles… I went.", "So rude? Never!".
This cartoon has no age. It is always relevant and interesting for any age. What is his secret? Obviously, in the eternal theme of friendship, kindness and support. They're so different, but they're still together, because it doesn't matter what you look like, it's what's inside you that matters. Of course, besides the delicious cutlet.
